The leadership team of the IAHR Ecohydraulics Committee operates the Ecohydraulics website.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the Ecohydraulics website.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Website URL, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Who we are

We are a community of scientists who self-identify as working on the topic of ecohydraulics. We are also affiliated with the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), under whose auspices we operate a technical committee on the topic of ecohydraulics. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser).

We do not share our website data with anyone at this time. We may be asked for website data from the local organizing committees for the International Conference on Ecohydraulics in the future, and if that happens we will share our data with them, as long as they establish and abide by a GDPR compliant policy.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We do obtain our Clients’ consent to post their name along with their testimonial via email prior to posting the testimonial on our website. These features may collect your IP address and the page you are visiting on our website. It may also set a cookie to enable the features to function properly.
