A strong week in Lausanne
The 16th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics (ISE) closed on 20 August 2026 at the SwissTech Convention Center on the EPFL campus. Approximately 300 delegates attended this first ISE held in Switzerland. Our thanks go to the Local Organizing Committee under Paolo Perona and Giovanni De Cesare as well as their fantastic team for a well-run and scientifically dense programme.
Next stop: Warsaw, 2028
The 17th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics will convene 25 June to 1 July 2028 on the campus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). It is organized jointly by SGGW, the National Inland Fisheries Research Institute, and the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The theme is “Ecohydraulic Upscaling for Nature Restoration”: moving ecohydraulic methods from site-scale application toward regional and continental strategy, against the backdrop of the EU Nature Restoration Law. The symposium is co-chaired by Piotr Parasiewicz (ORCID), originator of the MesoHABSIM mesohabitat simulation system, together with Tomasz Okruszko (SGGW) and Paweł Rowiński (IG PAS).
Programme, sessions, and registration details are published at https://ise2028.sggw.edu.pl/, and enquiries go to ise2028@sggw.edu.pl.
Our Conferences page has been updated with both entries, and ISE 2026 now appears in the list of past symposia. Save the date and see you in Poland!
